Columbus Crew Set To Face Newcastle United In Friendly; Magpies Working On A Tour

It looks like Newcastle United are putting together a little bit of a tour in America, as they’ve added yet another friendly date. The Magpies will take on the Columbus Crew on July 26th at Columbus Crew Stadium, which was rumored all across the interwebs, but confirmed by the all-knowing man who knows things inside the league office. This friendly date is in addition to the friendly date between Sporting Kansas City and Newcastle United, which was announced a couple of weeks ago.

Two friendlies in America is a more reasonable number than one, but if the Magpies are going through the trouble of making that long trip, once again I have to say that this won’t be the last announcement. The Magpies are likely going to play a couple of other games here in the states as well, otherwise they wouldn’t be making the most out of their long trip. They’re a pretty popular club even here in the states, so they’ll probably make some good money with a nice, long tour.
