MLS Rumor Mill: Could Pavel Pardo Of Club America Be The FC Dallas Mystery Signing?

This is straight out of rumorville, so don’t go telling your friends that this is straight up money in the bank, but it’s a pretty awesome rumor. FC Dallas are calling a press conference tomorrow to announce a major player signing, and according to a bunch of random stuff I’ve heard through the grapevine, including this facebook post by Jorge Ramos of ESPN Deportes, Mexican international Pavel Pardo could be FCD’s mystery man.

It makes sense. Club America are probably considering some re-tooling, and at Pardo’s age, they would probably be okay with letting him leave. This is very similar to the situation when Cuauhtemoc Blanco left America. Additionally, Pardo is a big enough name to justify what Dallas has done for this press conference, which is call in all of the big boys from the league’s front office. Pardo is a legend in FMF, has won a Bundesliga title with Stuttgart, and has captained the Mexican national team for a good deal of his 148 international caps.

Obviously, nothing is even close to confirmed at this point, but the shoe fits.
