MLS Preseason: On The Ground At Cascadia Summit And Charleston Challenge Cup

Here at The Allocation Order, we’re serious when we say we’re dedicated to being the most thorough MLS site around. It’s very tough to get good information on MLS Preseason games if you’re not attending them yourself. All you can get are simple match reports telling you who played and if they scored, but no one is actually telling the fans what they can expect from their team, how players are playing, etc. We’re hoping to change that this weekend.

TAO will have folks on the ground at both the Cascadia Summit and Charleston Challenge Cup so that we can tell you about what Seattle Sounders, Portland Timbers, Vancouver Whitecaps, Chicago Fire, Toronto FC, and D.C. United are doing this pre-season. Hopefully, we can give everyone some insight into what the coaches are thinking going into this season, who’s playing well, and who has a lot of work to do.

At the Cascadia Summit, our friend Kip Kesgard from OregonLive.com will be providing a report on the Portland Timbers, while our good buddy Aaron Campeau of SBNation will be drinking lots of beer while cheering on the Seattle Sounders. They’ll have some observations about the Whitecaps as well, so fear not, Whitecaps fans. Hopefully they’ll stay nice and unbiased when giving us their reports.

At the Charleston Challenge Cup will be yours truly, Kevin McCauley. I’m going to be meeting up with some D.C. United fans (and driving down with one), but that’s just because of the proximity of this competition to their fanbase. I don’t support a particular team, myself, so you can look forward to my completely honest and neutral opinions on United, TFC, and the Fire.

If you have anything in particular that you want us to look for in the games or if you have any particular questions you want answered, leave a comment here or send an e-mail to allthingsfooty [at] gmail [dot] com. We would be thrilled to take a look at whatever the readers are interested in during the games.
