Update On New England Revolution Transfer Target Rajko Lekic

According to a report out of Denmark this morning, Danish striker, Rajko Lekic, who is currently training with the New England Revolution is looking unlikely to be joining the Boston-area club after the player’s club Silkeborg revealed they have yet to receive a new offer for Lekic since he arrived in New England.

Lekic travelled to Foxboro earlier this week to begin training with New England ahead of a possible transfer to the club. The deal seems to have stalled as Silkeborg are reluctant to let such an important player leave before his contract expires in January and New England have yet to meet their transfer fee valuation.

Lekic is a Danish international and a key part of the Silkeborg attack, who would be unable to replace the striker before their domestic season starts, as the Danish transfer window is now closed.

Silkeborg had been willing to let the striker move to New England before his contract runs up in January, but the Revolution have yet to meet their valuation. Lekic will return to Silkeborg, who are currently on a preseason break, this Friday.
